Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Do you have big plans to celebrate the long weekend? If you’re staying in town, there’s lots to do, so enjoy. Be sure to check out our calendar so you don’t miss a thing – and if we’ve missed your event – post it! We want to know all about what’s happening around here.
Get in the Spirit. Memorial Day is a day to honor those men and women who have and who continue to serve our country and keep us safe. Why not kick the weekend off right with a performance by the U.S. Navy Band? They’re performing all day at the Little Rock Zoo – and they’re always a treat to watch. Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Civitan Amphitheater at the Little Rock Zoo. Visit www.littlerockzoo.com for more information.
Celebrate. Its the biggest Memorial Day celebration in town – and we look forward to it every year. It’s time for Riverfest! This music, arts and food festival spans both sides of the river – taking place in Riverfront Park in Little Rock and on the North Shore Riverwalk in North Little Rock. There’s entertainment and fun for all ages, so don’t miss it. Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Visit www.riverfestarkansas.com for a complete schedule of events.
Admire. This is the last weekend to see Read My Pins: The Madeleine Albright Collection at the Clinton Presidential Center. This intriguing and beautiful exhibit features more than 200 pins that our former Secretary of State wore to get her message across when she was dealing with issues and leaders all across the globe. We guarantee you learn and laugh. Through May 31, Clinton Presidential Center. Visit www.clintonpresidentialcenter.org for more information.
