Celebrate the Earth
April 19, 2010

The whole month of April centers around green. Any why not? The trees are budding and now have turned forth their green leaves in abundance. The flowers are blooming, and the weather has been great. So it’s the perfect month to celebrate Earth Day.

This year’s Earth Day celebration takes place on Saturday at North Little Rock’s North Shore Riverwalk Park. This annual celebration combines learning and fun with helping to save the earth.

This year, there will be lots of vendors selling earth-friendly wares from t-shirts to shopping bags and more. We bet you’ll find something you can’t live without (and that helps the environment at the same time).

And rest-assured, this is a kid-friendly venue. There will be all sorts of crafts that will keep your little ones happy and learning at the same time. How about making crafts from recycled items? Or getting busy with the sidewalk chalk? There will even be a green playhouse, where the kids can learn all about staying green year-round.

Put all of that together with some great entertainment and some delicious food – and you have yourself a festival that you don’t want to miss!
