Go Go Go Green!

April 12, 2010
The urge to “go green” is really strong – especially with the delightful spring weather that has descended into Arkansas. Sun and flowering trees just have that effect. And on Saturday, Market Place Shopping Center will make it really easy to be green with their “Green to Go Festival.”
Have you always wanted to plant a tree? Now’s your chance. The Arkansas Forestry Commission will be giving away saplings – so you can plant to your heart’s desire. And just where do you put that grease from your cooking extravaganza? Not down the sink! Grab a grease can from Little Rock Wastewater and start making a difference for everyone.
You can even adopt a pet, find out about all kinds of recycling opportunities, and shop! The merchants from Market Place will be offering specials and highlighting all of their “green” products. So get ready to have a ton of fun, and help out the environment at the same time. Don’t miss this fun and educational festival for the whole family.
