Celebrate the Arts

April brings us many things in Arkansas: the weather is glorious, the kids are playing outside, and there’s never a moment where we wonder what’s next on our social calendar. Yes, the special events around town are picking up, and we couldn’t think of a better way to kick of April than by attending Pulaski Technical College’s Business of Art.
This is always a wonderful event that raises money for student scholarships. And each year they honor a local artist and businessperson. This year is especially meaningful, as the artist they are honoring is Robin Steves and the business person they are honoring is her late husband, Tom Steves.
Tom died last year in a motorcycle accident, and the college’s new Business Technology Center will be named in his honor.
Throughout the night, you will be treated with the sounds of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Quartet while you dine on delicious food prepared by the college’s Culinary School. There will be a silent auction, and you’ll also be delighted and engaged with the artists who will be demonstrating their crafts live at the event. Artists include Emily Moll, Meredith A. Davies and Kevin Kresse.
Pulaski Technical College Foundation has hosted this event for four years now. And we haven’t missed one of them. How could we? We always see old friends, make new ones, and we’re always impressed with the quality of the art and the overall feel of the event.
We are thrilled that Pulaski Technical College is here, and that they value the arts and education as much as we do.
