It’s a dreary, rainy day, today. But, it’s Friday! Ice may stop us in our tracks, but thankfully rain can’t slow us down. There are lots of fun things going on around town, so be sure to check out our calendar so you don’t miss a thing – and if we’ve missed your event – post it! We want to know all about what’s happening around here.
Enjoy the Cat. The Arkansas Repertory Theater is one of the hottest places to be in town. With their last production, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat selling out, you want to be sure you get your tickets to see their newest production, Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. It’s emotional; it’s intense; it’s insightful; it’s witty. But who would expect anything less from The Rep? Friday, Saturday at 8:00pm and Sunday at 2:00pm and 7:00pm. Call (501) 378-0405 for tickets.
Remember College? Get busy cleaning out your closet. Find your best preppy attire and relive those carefree fratastic college days! Why? To benefit Centers for Youth & Families, of course! Enjoy great entertainment, music, drinks, food, and of course awesome prizes for the winners of the costume contest! Friday Night Fratastic! $30 at the door. Friday, 8:00pm. Big Whiskey’s. Call (501) 666-9436 for more information.
Dance of the Horse. Yes, horses can dance. And if you’ve never had the treat to see the World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions in action – you can’t miss this weekend’s performance. These amazing horses use the traditional movements of the Spanish Riding School of Vienna. Their graceful performance includes some surprises – like the big band number and an appearance by the Spanish Andalusian horse – a forefather of the Lipizzaner. Kids of all ages will be amazed and delighted by these stunning horses. Saturday, 2:00pm and 7:30pm. Verizon Arena. Click here for tickets.
