Art in All

Art in All
January 27, 2010

So, last week week we talked about art in architecture.  But where else can you find art?  Of course you can find it on a canvas, or on the stage, or in music.  But where else is it lurking about?

In Wildwood Park for the Art’s latest educational touring production, we learn that art exists in many places – from fly-fishing to politics.  It’s the creative juices and perseverance that bind us all together in the magical world of art.

And on Saturday, you can enjoy the premier of this original production at the main branch of the Central Arkansas Library System as they kick off their statewide tour of “Art to Go!”  You’ll even get to enjoy a post-show discussion with the actors.

Join three pre-teens as they embark on a night of adventure and learning after finding themselves locked in Wildwood Park!  What can happen?  Anything!  Including spine-tingling stories, apple pie making, opera singing, and even a speech from Martin Luther King, Jr.  It’s a unique and wonderful way to celebrate self-esteem and learn about the diversity in the arts.

After the premier on Saturday, the production will take flight and begin it’s tour of Arkansas.  If your elementary school is not on the list, there is some underwriting available to help bring it to your community.

So check it out on Saturday, and let’s see how many different ways we can celebrate the artist in all of us.
