If you have ever either been in the hospital with your newborn, or visited a newborn, you might remember how the nurses expertly swaddle those babies. The babies are warm and tightly wrapped in a hospital issued blanket – and they seem so content.
But then the babies come home. And if you’re anything like us, the tightly swaddled baby in a blanket goes to the wayside. We could never master it. Maybe that was the parenting class we missed.
Well, this year we will be blessed with the addition of a new ministaffer. And friends and family are already sneaking in a baby gift here and there. One we recently received was so ingenious – and it wasn’t around when our other ministaffers were infants.
It’s the Miracle Blanket. This soft blanket is made to be a swaddler. There’s no Velcro (scratchy!) and there are no knots or confusing twists and turns. Those were what lost us at the hospital.
This blanket is shaped for no mistake swaddling. There’s a foot pouch and arm flaps to hold the baby safe and snug. And then you just wrap! Suddenly there’s a happy and snuggly wrapped baby for you to hold. We can’t wait to try it out. Happy babies make happy moms.
