You love your car. You spend a lot of time in your car. It’s different from some bigger cities with plentiful public transportation and congestion. We rely on our cars each and every day. We may even take them for granted.
But now there’s the prediction of snow and “winter weather.” The chilling temperatures have already arrived. So on this chilly Wednesday, we thought you’d like to be prepared, should the snow arrive tonight.
First of all, we’d like to say, Stay In!! If there’s snow and ice out there tomorrow, don’t venture out. Even if you think you can drive on the snow and ice – the person next to you may not – and that could lead to all sorts of trouble.
But if you do get out and you are unfortunate enough to find yourself in a fender-bender, remember: it’s okay to move the car! Get out of the road – and don’t wait for the next guy to make the same mistake and plow into you. Exchange phone numbers, and take your car immediately to Golden Collision. Did you know that most insurance companies will accept one bid if that bid is from Golden? Yes, they are that good. And if you have to tow your car? Just have it towed to Golden. No point in towing it twice!
Now, we don’t want you to mess up your car at all! So go to the store today. Get your bread, milk, and peanut butter for the kids, kitty litter (for those icy patches) and the following: 2 lbs boneless chuck roast, olive oil, garlic, flour, beef stock, bay leaves, Worcestershire sauce, pearl onions, 2 potatoes, 2 carrots, and cloves. Your next stop is Colonial Wine & Spirits. Get some nice red wine and stock up on other favorites, too.
Now, tune in tomorrow. We’ll tell you what to do with all those ingredients – especially if you find yourself stuck inside on another Arkansas snow day. And stay safe.
