Happy New Year!!!!!!!
We hope that your celebrations from last night were joyous and full of friends. And we also hope that the new year brings you prosperity and happiness beyond your wildest dreams. The events have slowed down a bit on this New Year’s weekend, but the sun is shining, and that’s something for which to be grateful! Be sure to check out our calendar so you don’t miss a thing – and if we’ve missed your event – post it! We want to know all about what’s happening around here.
And since this weekend is a little different – here’s a list of ideas for this New Year’s weekend:
Clean Up. Take down the holiday decorations and put them away for next year. It’s always a little melancholy, but the feeling we get when our house is clean and fresh in January is a great one.
See a Movie. There are some great movies out right now – take advantage of this weekend to catch up on your film viewing.
Grab a Seat. If you’re lucky, you might be able to grab a seat at The Rep for the closing weekend of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Get Outside. The sun is beckoning. Take a hike at Pinnacle and bring a picnic. Let the kids play on the playground equipment. Enjoy.
Learn a Little. Don’t forget about all the great museums out there. From the Arkansas Arts Center, to the Historic Arkansas Museum, to Heifer, and many others – get out and take advantage of all the great exhibits out there!
And whatever you do this weekend – enjoy the feeling of a clean slate. Enjoy the knowledge that anything is possible this year.
