Send Some Cheer
Our lives keep getting busier and busier. We remember when we had our tree up as soon as the dishes were washed from our Thanksgiving feast. And our holiday cards were addressed and sent that same weekend. How times have changed. Maybe a few ministaffers along the way have interfered with that productivity (not that we’re complaining!). We have yet to decorate, let alone even think about getting our holiday cards started.
But today may just change that. Are you like us? Or do you have it all done already? Well, if you find that you still haven’t picked out your holiday cards, don’t worry – Arkansas Children’s Hospital has you covered. As they do every year, the ACH Auxiliary has their Holiday Card Project. All proceeds from the sale of these wonderful cards benefits the patients and families of Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
The cards are always a delight to see. Each year they have a featured artist. This year it’s Mary Lynn Nelson from Little Rock. Her Christmas Tree card is a whimsical and wonderful splatter paint rendition of a jolly holiday tree.
And then the rest of the cards are designed by some of the patients of ACH themselves. The ages of the budding artists range from 5 – 17, and each one is different and special. We love five-year-old Camden Tucker’s Peace Dove. Written inside the cut-out of a dove, and in Camden’s handwriting, are wonderful words we all hope will happen in this holiday season. Words such as “believe” “healing” “dream” “love” and “cherish.” Out of the mouth of babes, right?
And you can even have your cards imprinted with your own personal message. ACH makes it easy to get your cards out this year! And you can even order online. Talk about simple.
So what are you waiting for? Order your holiday cards from ACH and you’ll be sending lots of cheer in no time flat.
