Enjoy the Dance

The things that happen around here continue to amaze us. It’s such a hotbed for great artists of all kinds. Did you know that UALR offers a BFA in dance? It’s their first year to offer it. And did you know that UALR is the only institution in the State of Arkansas to offer such a degree? That’s a great thing.
And what’s even better is that those of us who were dancers in a former life, or just simply enjoy the art and beauty behind dance can enjoy the fruits of that education. This week is one of those times. UALR Dance Harvest is a wonderful performance that will showcase and highlight original choreography by these UALR dance majors.
 This performance is the first in a new annual arts series at UALR. It will include all types of dance and music. So with a new degree available at UALR comes a new annual series of dance performances. This is cool. Our city is really coming into its own with much needed education in dance and other arts. And that makes life better for all of us.
So we hope you’ll be a part of this inaugural show for the dance department at UALR. And we hope that you’ll continue to support the arts education that’s happening all over Central Arkansas. We’re excited.
