Will the rain ever stop? The promise of a beautiful tomorrow is enough for us to get excited about our weekend plans. What about you? Enjoy your Halloween. Next week is November! Pretty hard to believe. We can’t feature everything here, so be sure to visit our calendar at www.hotinlittlerock.com to see all the fun things going on. And make sure your events are posted, too! Here are our Top Three:
Ewww and Ahhh. Ministaffers of the world unite! It may be daylight, but at the Little Rock Zoo tomorrow, kids from 4-12 can take part in “Ewww at the Zoo!” This is a fun and interactive morning where they will meet animals, make a craft, eat, and even ride the haunted train! What a great way to get your Halloween started. $20 per child. Call (501) 661-7224 to reserve a spot.
Say Boo! You’ve got the kids under control. You’ve taken the dog on his walk. Now it’s time for you to have some fun! There are lots of Halloween parties going on Saturday night. But if you want a more laid back affair, make reservations to dine at Vieux Carre. Costumes are optional, but they will award a free dinner for 2 for the best dressed! And if you don’t want to go home after dinner, stay for the party at the Afterthought next door. The B-Flats will be playing al your favorite classic rock tunes. Cover charge is $7. Call (501) 663-1196 to make your reservations for dinner.
Get your Fill. It’s the 20th Anniversary of Silent Sunday! Benefiting the Arkansas School for the Deaf, this is always the best buffet in town. The best independent restaurants from Arkansas will be on hand cooking up their best creations. Musical entertainment is provided by the Groan-Ups and there will be lots of cool auction items to bid on. Sunday, 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. Statehouse Convention Center. Tickets: $20 for adults, $5 for kids 6-12, free for kids 5 and under. Visit www.silentsunday.org for more information.
