Happy Spring!  Today is the official first day of spring – and everything seems to know about it!  The birds are chirping, the sun is shining.  Who can ask for more?  If you are off on Spring Break this week, enjoy.  There’s lots to do this weekend to kick it off.  Check out our online calendar at www.hotinlittlerock.com/calendar for a complete listing.  Here are our Top Three:

 

Walk.  It’s the third Friday of the month – and that means it’s time for Argenta Art Walk! There will be artists showing their work at First Presbyterian at 4th and Maple, as well as at other galleries in the Argenta area of North Little Rock.  Don’t miss this opportunity to see Beau Anderson’s lampwork demonstration at Argenta Art Company, and visit other businesses along the way.  Then stop in one of the many restaurants for dinner.  Argenta Art Walk, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  Downtown North Little Rock.

 

Play.  Now that it’s officially spring and the kids are out for break, take them to the Little Rock Zoo for a fun spring carnival!  Saturday they will have Flumpa and Friends Live! as well as a birthday party for the bears.  There will also be food, rides and games all week long.  This is a great way to spend your Saturday.  Don’t miss it.  Spring Carnival at the Little Rock Zoo.  Flumpa performs Saturday at 9:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.  The bears have their birthday party at 10:30 a.m. with cake for humans at 11:00 a.m.  Visithttp://www.littlerockzoo.com/ for more information.

 

Watch.  Take the kids to see Buzytown at the Arkansas Arts Center Children’s Theater.  This is a fun and music-filled show based on a Richard Scary book.  Visit with Farmer Pig, Grocer Cat, Lowly Worm, and others, and you learn what people do all day.  Friday, 7:00 p.m., Saturday, 3:00 p.m., Sunday, 2:00 p.m.  Visithttp://www.arkarts.com/ for more information.
