Hot In Little Rock

The lightning show last night brought cooler weather for the weekend.  We’ve been enjoying the warmth, but it will return – it always does.  Don’t let the dreary weather keep you from getting out and enjoying everything this weekend has to offer, though.  There’s lots of fun stuff to do for everyone.  Be sure to check out the online calendar at http://www.hotinlittlerock.com/ so you don’t miss a thing.  Here are our Top Three:

 

Stop and Smell the Roses.  Yes, it’s time once again for the Arkansas Flower and Garden Show.  We love this event – it always gets our spring juices flowing.  There will be 8 display gardens, vendor booths, guest lecturers, and a family learning center that is sure to delight kids of all ages.  Statehouse Convention Center.  Friday and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m, Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Tickets: $7.50/adults; $5.00/seniors; $1.00/kids 6-12; free for kids under 6.  Visithttp://arflowerandgardenshow.org/ for all the details.

A Modern Romance. This is the final weekend for “The Last Five Years,” a musical at The Weekend Theater.  This musical showcases the journey of a New York couple and their five-year relationship.  We’ve all felt the emotions of falling in and out of love, and this contemporary show will certainly ring true for almost everyone.  Friday and Saturday – 7:30 p.m., Sunday – 2:30 p.m. Tickets: $18.00/adults; $14.00/students and seniors.  Call (501) 374-3761 for more information.
