Hot In Little Rock

February is always a short month, and it passes by so quickly that sometimes we miss it when it is gone.  And today brings us to the end of our February Mondays, where we’ve been featuring businesses that have been around longer than twenty years.  So to end, we thought we’d mention a classic store, one that’s dressed many a fashionable woman in its time here in Little Rock.

 

That store is Barbara/Jean, of course.  It’s been around for 36 years, and during that time has continued to grow.  This is one of the few stores in Little Rock where you can have a personalized shopping experience from start to finish.  They carry such names as Prada, St. John, Escada and Vera Wang.  So you know you’ll always find the best styles – right off the runway and right here in Little Rock, Arkansas.

 

Walk in the door, and you’re greeted by such friendly people.  They’ll learn your size, your style, your likes and dislikes.  This is especially useful if a trunk show is coming to town as well as when, during one of their fabulous 1/2 of 1/2 sales, the last dress from your favorite designer is sitting there in your size.

 

They even have a top notch shoe department and an excellent make up counter.  So you really can experience one-stop shopping from head to toe.  We’ve never left empty-handed when we venture inside.  And it’s always a fun day. 

 

Vogue has called Barbara/Jean the Barney’s of Little Rock.  We’d have to agree.  If you haven’t paid them a visit, this might be the perfect time to discover them, since this week not only do they have a Lordes Chavez trunk show, but also a Yves Saint Laurent cosmetic event.  Just in time for spring.
